Days like these….

Matters are now much improved. We had a very productive week at work, the show is going to be very pretty, everything is coming together nicely. More importantly, this weekend, Macau started feeling like home. The weather today was lovely – warm, sunny, not too humid – so we went to buy a heater, and a toaster. Rumour has it that February is the cold month here, and it’s been chilly since New Years, so hopefully the heater will help. It seems a little odd, given how warm it still is here when the sun is out, but at night, and when it’s cloudy, it’s actually very cold here. By Australian standards. The Canadians think we’re pussies.

So, better weather, more attention to the flat, more exploring, generally just settling in. Becoming regulars at the cafe downstairs, wandering new streets, learning more Chinese.

And the team, we come together well. So all is well.

How about you?

    Howdy,

Just finished a lovely 6 week break and I am now part of Team Aris working with Cat, Ross and others at Sputnik Agency where Aris is CIO. Thank god I am out of the bank – too starchy for me :)

I am glad that you are starting to feel at home – tho we miss you here. We found a great cafe in Chapel St near work that does great breakfast all day so its a bit of shame that we can’t restart our ‘breakfast for lunch/Hawt Poppy’ cabal.

Not much else to report other than London/Edingburgh/New York was great (and cold – brrr!) and getting back to work, although a great atmosphere is a bit hard after 6 weeks swanning around the world. Saw a fantastic production called Fuerzabruta in New York – the arialists in the show were awesome to watch. The crew were also pretty fantastic – I thought of you and how you would probably have rather liked crewing that show.

Anyway, back to the bump and grind :)

    Cheers,

    Danielle

I have heard great things about Fuerzabruta.

The feeling-at-home thing comes and goes. This week, before seeing this comment, I actually found myself missing Chapel street. I probably go to Chapel St twice a year these days ,how can I miss it?
